Digitalization, pedagogical growth, and new courses as the basis for sustainable medical education in a changing environment.

Project goal:

To improve the quality and sustainability of medical education in Ukraine by developing digital, pedagogical and ethical competencies of teachers, adapting educational content to modern needs and integrating new hybrid courses into curricula.

In the context of modern challenges related to war, global changes in education and the rapid development of digital technologies, Ukrainian medical universities need to update their approaches to teaching and learning. This project aims to comprehensively modernize medical education through the implementation of digital solutions, improving the pedagogical skills of teachers and creating a sustainable educational ecosystem.

Tasks

  • Enhance the capacity of partner universities in Ukraine by increasing the expertise and strengthening key professional competencies of medical teachers
  • Develop innovative hybrid training courses for medical educators, integrating digital and pedagogical competencies.
  • Foster teachers’ educational resilience and raise awareness of student and teacher well-being and ethical aspects.
  • Develop and modify online courses for students, pilot the developed/modified courses, and adapt them to the curriculum of the partner universities.
  • Implement the modified and new courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate (CPD) levels.
